NORTH PLAINFIELD ONCE AGAIN PARTICIPATES IN ST. BALRDICK'S FUND RAISER:

Members of North Plainfield Professional Firefighters Local 2958 participated in their forth annual St. Balrdick's
charity fund raiser, where participants shave their heads for charity.
Through the Local's participationthis year, we were able to raise close to $50,000.00.

2006 PFANJ SENATOR CHRIS JACKMAN UNIONISM AWARD:

March 25, 2006 - North Plainfield Local 2958 President Jeffery Holtz received the Professional Firefighters Association of New Jersey 2006
Senator Chris Jackman Unionism Award. The award was presented during a ceremony that was held in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Congratulating Jeff on his award is New Jersey State Governor Jon Corzine, and Jeff's Father Al Holtz.

D-PLATOON CHEERS ON NORTH PLAINFILED HIGH SCHOOL:

November 2005 - Members of D-Platoon of North Plainfield Locals 2958 and 2983 pose with the North Plainfield High School Varsity Cheerleaders to kick off a Pep Rally.

BREAKFAST FOR CHAMPIONS:

November 3, 2005 - North Plainfield Locals 2958 and 2983 prepare and serve breakfast to 5th graders at Somerset School in North Plainfield. The breakfast was the prize for children that earned bonus points for their accomplishments through the month of October of 2005.

NORTH PLAINFIELD LOCAL RAISES OVER $60,000.00 FOR CHILDREN'S CANCER RESEARCH:

Members of North Plainfield Professional Firefighters Local 2958 participated in their third annual St. Balrdick's
charity fund raiser, where participants shave their heads for charity.
Through the Local's participation, we were able to raise over $60,000.00 this year.

NORTH PLAINFIELD LOCAL JOINS IAFF HURRICANE RELIEF EFFORT:

Members of the North Plainfield Professional Firefighters Association, IAFF Local 2958, in conjunction with the North Plainfield Professional Fire Superior Officers Association, IAFF Local 2983, and the North Plainfield Fire Department, recently completed a clothing drive to benefit the firefighters and their families and friends that were devastated in the Gulf Coast Region by Hurricane Katrina.

Thanks to the generosity of of Camp Out of North Plainfield, New Jersey, JK Vreeland Moving and Storage of Plainfield, New Jersey, the citizens of our area, and firefighters from the Englewood Professional Firefighters Association, IAFF Local 3260, we sent 2 overfilled storage trailers to the International Association of Fire Fighters Hurricane Disaster Relief Fund Headquarters in Baton Rouge, LA.

Special thanks to Backdraft Products US, of Fenton, Missouri, for their most generous donation to the cause.

FOX 5 MORNING SHOW VISITS NORTH PLAINFIELD FIRE DEPARTMENT:

On June 30, 2004, Fox Network New York Affiliate Morning Show Crew stopped by the Fire Department for some good old firehouse cooking'.
Lunch was prepared by "world renowned" Chef, and Local 2958 President, Jeff Holtz.

In addition to being treated to a great meal, the Morning Show crew also enjoyed a Vehicle Extrication Demonstration
put on by the crew at the firehouse.
